Cornerstone Church

Knowing God Personally | God With Us - Week 2 - December 11, 2022 - Scott Savage with Jake Downing

Are you where you thought you'd be this Christmas season? Are you where you wish you were? The truth is God can only meet us where we are, not where we wish we were. And once we get honest with God and ourselves about where we are, we may find God surprising us and coming near us.

In this message, Scott Savage kicks off our God With Us series by talking about where God meets us. He also sits down for a powerful conversation with a couple from Cornerstone who have experience God's presence during the darkest of days in their marriage.

Who We Are is a series about the 8 core values of Cornerstone Church. These values sum up who we are, help our leadership filter decisions, and they hold us accountable.

We all end up submitting to something or we seek to make the world submit to us. In this message, Tim Jacobs, friend of Cornerstone and EFCA West District Superintendent, unpacks our church value - Submitting to Scripture. Tim talks about the difference it makes when we believe all Scripture teaches, obey all Scripture commands, and trust all Scripture promises.

If you want to know who a person is, look for what they value. Consider how they spend their money, where they will and won’t compromise, and how they spend their time and effort. A church is no different. Our values are an introduction to who we are. Over the next year, in between larger and longer series, we will explore our 8 core values as a part of a series we’re calling “Who We Are."

In this message, Tim Jacobs kicks off this series as our guest speaker. Tim is the district superintendent for EFCA West. The EFCA is short for the Evangelical Free Church of America, the denomination which Cornerstone voluntarily participates. Tim shares with us about our value of Practicing Unity in a Divided World.
