We all get into hard and difficult circumstances in life and sometimes without knowing it, we drift in our faith and belief. How can we develop a more intimate relationship with Jesus? The church at Laodicea was far from God in their hearts. Rich in abundance and without need, they had allowed Jesus to become secondary in their life. As a believer we can sometimes have appearances of good works on the outside and they appear shining and right. However, those very things could not be what Jesus is looking for. We must take a look at what’s truly alive or dead in us and take responsibility for increasing our effectiveness as a believer.

Why are our works as believers important and how does false doctrine destroy those works? These are two key elements in our walk as believers that are rarely addressed. As we study the church at Thyatira we will see how our works as believers have an impact in this life, as well as eternity, and how we can avoid false doctrine from destroying our works.

We take a deeper dive into Revelation 2:8-17 as we go over the suffering and sin at the Church of Smyrna and Church of Pergamum.

Do sin and suffering relate to each other and how do we move from suffering to victory in this life? Today we look at the Church in Smyrna and the Church in Pergamum to see the issues they were dealing with in their time, along with the application on how to overcome those issues.

In Revelation 2 and 3 we see the 7 Churches being given a letter and report on how they are doing. The first church is Ephesus and we see many great things they are doing. However, Jesus has a warning for them and instructions on how to change. How do we see ourselves as a body of believers today in regards to this church and how can we avoid the traps of becoming stagnant in our walk with God?
