  • Schemes & Victories // Part 1 // Introduction
Christians have three invisible enemies that the Bible warns about: Satan, this world system, and the flesh. The mastermind of the three is the devil, and he has schemes, strategies, and ploys. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11. Many Christians today are unaware of these schemes. The Apostle Paul taught the early churches and us about the devil’s strategies “So that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.” 2 Corinthians 2:11. But here is what we must understand: Satan does not have unlimited strategies and schemes. He is the master recycler, taking the same few and using them over and over against humanity, especially God’s people. In this series, we will look back at the Old Testament to learn about some of these schemes and watch how God overcame them by raising up faithful servants. We may be surprised to see that what this fearsome enemy did thousands of years ago, is the same thing he is doing in our generation today. Rampant materialism, the attacks on gender, abortion of babies, division, and rebellion are all stuck on repeat. Yet we will see again and again that “He Who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4. Will you be today’s Elijah, Jehu, or Josiah whom God uses to defeat the schemes of the devil? Join us for this explosive series and rediscover that not only is there nothing new under the sun, but our God is faithful and will be victorious!

  • High & Lifted Up // Part 4 // Application
God demands that all the earth worship Him, and for many, that seems so selfish. Mockers have even asked if God has such a fragile self-esteem that if people don’t worship Him, He gets angry. Yet, think with me a moment on this statement: God has created us to be most full of life when our lives are most full of Him. To worship God is to affirm Him as our greatest priority. When we do that, we don’t worry as much, we don’t give in to temptation as much, and we don’t run after those things we think will make us happy, like fame, security, or beauty, to name a few. If you fall in love with someone, you want to tell people about it, you want to tell that person about it. When you have a great experience at a restaurant, you want others to go eat there, so you talk about it. That incredible vacation has to be told about. It is no different in our relationship with God. To worship Him is to tell Him and others how much we appreciate and love Him. How great He has proven Himself to be! So, how can we learn to do this together as a church? How can we be a church where God is exalted and truly worshiped? Come along with us as we learn to be a place where we can experience our God and return to Him our worship. A place where He is high and lifted up!

  • Love Like Jesus // Part 14 // Let Us Not Pass Judgment On One Another
The most popular passage from the bible spoken at weddings actually has very little to do with marriage, and that is 1 Corinthians 13:4, “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast…” Of course, all these attributes of love will thrive in a marriage when they are in the hearts of husbands and wives, but the Apostle Paul taught us this passage to plant them deeply in the hearts of the redeemed. This is what a church can be! Yet he began with a warning: “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.” 1 Corinthians 13:1. Cornerstone, it is time to love, urgently! It is getting spiritually darker everywhere, even in the ‘Church’. Division, lawlessness, hatred, bigotry, authoritarianism…and do not be mistaken, it is all aimed at the people of God! Now, more than ever before in our lifetimes, we must speak truth and love, both inside the walls of our church and outside! We are going to need each other for the journey ahead, so join us in our summer series as we look at the ‘one anothers’ from the bible, each of which will help us ‘Love like Jesus’.
