The wise woman of Proverbs 31 is blessed as a life-giving spirit, as she lives missionally, in the service of others, with a vision for the future, in accordance with godly character. All of this flows from her earnest desire to glorify the God who is the wellspring of wisdom!

Jesus came to reveal the Father who wants to bless us in so many unimaginable ways, while exposing the father of lies, whose nature is only to steal, and to kill, and destroy.

We attempt to cover our sin and shame in darkness, but confession brings it into the light, where it is truly covered and cleansed by the sacrifice of Jesus.

Resentment, as a kind of clinging, controlling anger, can come by way of jealousy, and even result from a legitimate response to injustice or the frustration of unmet expectations. But anger, entertained and cultivated in the soul, is folly, and Proverbs teaches that all such folly leads to death.
