God did not spare his own Son, but gave him to suffer the penalty of sin in the place of sinners, so that sinners might be spared and reconciled to him.

Because our spirits are willing, but our flesh is weak, we must watch and pray so that we would not give in to temptation, placing all of our confidence in Christ alone.
