It is a good but difficult thing to wait patiently upon God. Waiting on God is a healthy reminder that you are NOT in control. God is- For worldly people, waiting results in restlessness and impatience, for results and success must happen now or when we say so. That is what happened with Israel and the Golden Calf -Exodus 32-. Contrary to this, God's plan for His apostles as they awaited God's promised Holy Spirit was to obey Him at His word and to be united and devoted to prayer together. This is a good reminder to us as well.

Proposition- God calls you to bless Him as you remember His abounding mercies that are everlasting to all who fear Him.----Sermon Outline---I. Your resolve to rule in righteousness -v. 5-8-.----While this Psalm is from David and it expresses the conviction of a man who would be king over all Israel, the truth applies no less to you today. You also must praise God's mercy and justice in your life. Regarding God's ways, you should desire to live blamelessly and innocently in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. And regardless of how small or large the realm of your rule is, you should resolve to rule righteously as Christ who is King is righteous.
