The best thing we can for ourselves and our walk with the Lord is to burn the ships.

Elijah, the faithful prophet, the one willing to stand up to an evil king, the one that seemed fearless in the face of evil, wanted to die: I have had enough! Lord, take my life....

What happened? Why did Elijah go from the spiritual and emotional mountain top to the valley so quickly?

In our day and age, so many people want God and everything else. They have not entirely rejected God, but they have not chosen or surrendered their lives to Him either.

Are you walking by faith regardless of your ever-changing circumstances of your life? In the peace and calm? And in the storms?

God has called us to know Him, follow Him, and to serve Him, and as we do, there is no doubt that He will use us in incredible ways!

Following Jesus means clothing yourself in patience, gentleness, kindness, compassion, humility, forgiveness, and love. That kind of faith is powerful and transformational.

Jesus’ encounter with Zacchaeus (and even with you) is such a powerful example of what it means to be personal, to love people where they are and to show them that there is so much more!

If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me (Matthew 16:24).
