According to the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR), an estimated 400,000 people in Afghanistan have been forced to flee their homes since
the beginning of this year alone.
A UNHCR's representative in Afghanistan states that between 20,000 and 30,000 people were leaving the country on a weekly basis.
These numbers are expected to significantly rise over the next few months.
Join Corney and Lind lawyer, Simon Mason, as he discusses Australian humanitarian and refugee law. And Australian policies and processes that may assist onshore Afghani individuals seeking protection.
