Jobs are changing drastically is a very short amount of time. Some people are losing their jobs, unemployment is at a record high. For some businesses, the option to work from home has popped up, seemingly out of nowhere, kind of like they could have done this the whole time and just refused to do so. For some, it's very convenient, for others, especially those with disabilities, it comes as an insult that their accessibility could have been addressed ages ago. My friend Michelle is an advocate for people with disabilities. She was recently let go from her job doing so for the city she lives in, and she's got a lot of insightful things to say about it all. This is her story from the Coronaverse.

There are tons of people making jokes that they've been experts at social distancing, and avoiding crowds even before the pandemic. For some it might be true, for a lot of folks, we miss crowds. We're starting to feel the effects of feeling isolated, missing the communities that we're so used to being a part of. For a lot of bands, the inability to gather in crowds has changed not only their normal life but their livelihood. Without concerts and shows and music festivals, musicians are finding new and innovative ways to get their music out there and to unite the community they've spent years to build. Ann is an artist in Texas. She's actually the artist that does the covers for my books. She had some shows planned in the coming months, but due to the pandemic, she finds herself at home in the country with her man and her animals. She says that she chose to be an artist in a world full of cubicles and this, of course, meant that she chose a life where she'd never get to retire. That is until all of this happened.
