The Yale Public School of Health concludes that New York was the primary gateway for the spread of COVID-19 to the rest of the country, reports The New York Times. A CDC study revealed that nearly 5,000 prisoners and 2,000 employees of the prison system have contracted the virus. More children have been admitted to hospitals with unusual symptoms likely related to COVID-19. New York has reported 64 patients. General Motors will resume manufacturing at some plants on the 18th. They have been shut down for two months. Scientists are working on an inexpensive coronavirus test that would give results as easily as a home pregnancy test.
The Mayor of Moscow said that cases there have hit 300,000. Three times higher than what has been reported. In Poland, the Presidential Election has been postponed, with no new date announced. Syria has postponed a Parliamentary election, relays The Guardian. Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will allow residents to travel freely between the countries starting tomorrow.
