Many Christians hear the phrase “filled with the Holy Spirit” and immediately think of emotional experiences, extraordinary manifestations, or something reserved for spiritually elite believers.
But in Ephesians 5:18, Paul gives a much more practical picture.
“Do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit.”
In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey explains that Paul uses drunkenness as a contrast of control. Alcohol alters behavior, emotions, boldness, speech, generosity, and decision-making. People often use alcohol to gain what they were meant to find in God—confidence, relief, escape, joy, and comfort.
While drunkenness wastes life, Holy Spirit-filling leads to flourishing.
Being filled with the Spirit enables believers to obey God, maximize opportunities, and fulfill responsibilities in worship, family, and work.
Notably, Paul immediately follows Ephesians 5:18 with practical instruction about worship, marriage, parenting, and workplace relationships. This reveals that Spirit-filling is not disconnected from ordinary life—it is the power source for faithful living.
The sermon also distinguishes between two important doctrines:
• The baptism of the Holy Spirit happens once at the new birth.
• The filling of the Holy Spirit is continual and ongoing.

Is there real evidence for God? Can the Bible be trusted? And what does it actually mean to become a Christian?
In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey answers some of life’s most foundational questions by exploring the evidence for God, the reliability of Scripture, and the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
This message covers:
• Why belief in God is reasonable through conscience, creation, and Christ
• Why the Bible can be trusted through its longevity, consistency, accuracy, and fulfilled prophecy
• Why every person was created by God and for God
• Why sin separates humanity from God
• How God demonstrated His love through Jesus Christ
• What it actually means to become a Christian
Christianity is not simply inherited, assumed, or cultural. It is a personal response to God’s truth, grace, and invitation.

What does it mean to be baptized in the Holy Spirit?
For many Christians, this topic can feel confusing, debated, or mysterious. But Scripture gives clear answers.
Jesus promised His followers that the Holy Spirit would come. In Acts 1:5, He said, “John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey explains what the Bible teaches about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and how it relates to salvation, identity, and the Christian life. Scripture teaches:
• The Holy Spirit was promised by Jesus
• The Spirit indwells every believer
• The Holy Spirit is received at the new birth
• Every believer is placed into the body of Christ
• In Christ, we already possess everything necessary for spiritual life and growth
The Christian life is not about waiting for God to give us more. It is about learning to live from what He has already given. This message brings clarity to a foundational doctrine while reminding believers of who they already are in Christ.

Does God control everything? Is everything that happens God’s will? In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey explains what the Bible actually teaches about God’s sovereignty and answers some of the most biggest questions Christians wrestle with.
This message explains:
• Why we won’t always understand everything God does or allows
• What God’s omnipotence really means
• Why God’s sovereignty is often better understood by what He chooses not to do
• Why not everything that happens is automatically God’s will
• How human choice and evil fit into God’s larger plan
• Why suffering exists in a world ruled by a sovereign God
Most importantly, this message points to the promises believers can trust:
• Trouble is guaranteed in this life
• God promises His presence
• God provides strength
• God can bring good from evil
• Evil will not have the final word

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He made a promise that would change everything: “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper… the Spirit of truth.”
In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey walks through the arrival of the Holy Spirit in the book of Acts and explains why Pentecost was not just a dramatic moment—it was the beginning of a new era for the Church.
Before the Spirit came:
• The disciples were promised the Holy Spirit
• They were promised power
• They were commissioned to be witnesses to the world
Then in Acts 2, the Spirit came. At Pentecost, believers were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in languages they had never learned, demonstrating God’s power and confirming His work. The same pattern continued in Samaria, Damascus, Caesarea, and Ephesus.
These events were not random repetitions, but strategic demonstrations that the Gospel was for all people. In a racially divided world, God used extraordinary signs to unite Jews, Samaritans, Gentiles, and others into one body through Christ.
This message helps clarify what happened at Pentecost, why tongues appeared in Acts, and how the Spirit’s arrival united the early Church. The coming of the Holy Spirit was not just about power—it was about building one people under one Savior.

In Part Four of this series, Dr. Rocky Ramsey continues teaching how Scripture must be understood accurately and in context. This message tackles several commonly misunderstood teachings related to conflict, suffering, generosity, judgment, and personal responsibility.
This message explores:
• Why your behavior should be shaped by God, not by the behavior of others
• How to avoid bitterness while still maintaining Biblical boundaries
• Why believers should avoid unnecessary suffering whenever possible
• How character can remain strong even when circumstances cannot change
• How money can damage relationships if handled unwisely
• Why helping others does not mean enabling irresponsibility
• What the Bible actually teaches about discernment and forming opinions
God’s Word is not calling believers to be passive, bitter, reckless, or naïve. It calls us to wisdom, character, and spiritual maturity.

What does the Holy Spirit actually do?
Dr. Rocky Ramsey begins by exploring the many names of the Holy Spirit found in Scripture. These names reveal His relationship to the Father and the Son, His divine nature, and the gifts He provides. From the Spirit of God to the Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Grace, each name offers insight into who He is.
The message then shifts to the central focus: the work of the Holy Spirit. In the world, the Holy Spirit convicts people of sin and brings spiritual life. He opens hearts to truth and initiates the process of salvation.
In the believer, the Holy Spirit takes up residence at the moment of conversion. He begins an ongoing work of transformation, producing character marked by love, joy, peace, and other spiritual fruit. He provides comfort in difficulty, guidance in decision-making, and power for living out the Christian life.
The Holy Spirit also works within the church. He creates unity among believers, leads authentic worship, and equips individuals with spiritual gifts for ministry.
Above all, the Holy Spirit’s ultimate purpose is to glorify Jesus and reveal the truth of God. Everything He does points back to Christ.
Understanding the work of the Holy Spirit helps believers recognize that they are not living the Christian life alone. God Himself is actively working in them and through them every day.

Some of the most quoted passages about relationships in the Bible are also some of the most misunderstood.
In part three of this series, Dr. Rocky Ramsey teaches through Ephesians 5:18–6:9 and Colossians 3:16–4:1, showing how these passages are meant to be understood in context.
These verses are not about control, domination, or becoming a victim. They describe what relationships look like when people are filled with the Spirit and living out God’s Word.
This message explains:
• How Spirit-filled people relate to one another through service
• Why marriage is built on mutual love, respect, and responsibility
• What Biblical parenting and honoring looks like
• How faith should shape the way we work and lead
• Why every role is ultimately lived out in service to Jesus
When understood correctly, these passages don’t oppress—they bring order, strength, and life to every relationship.

The Bible is true—but it is often misunderstood.
In Part Two of this series, Dr. Rocky Ramsey continues showing why accurately handling God’s Word is essential for both belief and daily living.
When Scripture is taken out of context, it can be misapplied in ways that harm rather than help. But when understood correctly, it brings clarity, protection, and direction.
This message addresses:
• Why we must interpret Scripture accurately, not just literally
• Why obedience to God always takes priority over human authority
• How the Bible guides us to avoid unnecessary harm and danger
• Why no one is called to endure or submit to abuse
• How Biblical responsibilities do not cancel out accountability
• Why tolerating sin is not the same as showing love
