Not your ordinary Fantasy Draft... Today, we are putting together the ULTIMATE SJM Fantasy draft. We’re taking turns picking characters from across Sarah J. Maas’s three series and building our own winning teams (winning what, still unsure). Once someone picks a character, they’re off the board for everyone else.
Who are we grabbing first? Who’s getting snubbed? And are we going to regret our picks?
Let us know whose team is winning!

We’re back with Part 2 of our ACOTAR bonus chapter discussions, and this time we’re talking about A Court of Silver Flames.
We’re covering two bonus chapters that readers could originally find in different exclusive editions of ACOSF: Feyre and Rhysand’s POV from the Barnes & Noble and Waterstones editions, found after Chapter 21, and Azriel’s POV from the Books-A-Million edition, found after Chapter 58.
If you missed these chapters when ACOSF first came out, we’re getting into what happens, what these scenes add to the story, and what we think about getting these extra perspectives from some of our favorite characters.
Of course, we have thoughts. We always have thoughts.

For Part 1 of our ACOTAR bonus chapter series, we’re talking about “Wings and Ember,” the bonus chapter from A Court of Mist and Fury.
For years, this chapter was something you had to track down through an exclusive edition or find online. Now, with the bonus chapters being included in the new ACOTAR 6 release, a lot more readers are going to get these chapters as part of the actual series.
So naturally, we had to go back and talk about it.
We’re getting into Cassian and Nesta, what this chapter adds to the story, and the things that stood out to us now that we know these bonus chapters are coming back into the books.

Fall is here, which means we have a whole new stack of books to add to the TBR.
In Episode 3, we’re talking about the fall book releases we’re most excited about—the fantasy, romantasy, and other upcoming releases that have us already planning our reading schedules.
In short: our TBR is getting longer. Again.

Welcome back to Cortisol and Chaos: The Podcast. We’re diving back into A Court of Thorns and Roses with one very important question: what the hell do we think is actually happening in ACOTAR 6?
In this episode, Dom, Amy, and Lindsay are making their ACOTAR 6 predictions—from characters and relationships to plot twists, potential storylines, and the theories that may or may not get us institutionalized.
One very important disclaimer: this episode was recorded before the ACOTAR 6/7 title announcement and the release of the new quotes, so everything you hear is based on the information, theories, and clues we had at the time of recording. Consider this a little time capsule of our pre-announcement spiraling.
Are we completely wrong or have we accidentally predicted something straight out of SJM's brain? Stay tuned to find out!
Spoilers for the Maasverse ahead!
And if you’re new here, welcome to the Court of Cortisol and Chaos. We’re so glad you’re here.

In our first episode, Amy, Dom, and Lindsay are looking at the series we’ve started recently and deciding which ones are worth continuing, which ones we’re still undecided about, and which ones we’ve officially decided to leave behind. We talk about the books that pulled us in, the ones that lost us somewhere along the way, and what makes us decide whether a series has earned a spot on our TBR. Before we begin, we want to name that this episode discusses character death, gendered violence in storytelling, and the concept of fridging. We’re approaching this as a literary discussion, not a definitive statement, and we’re interested in exploring multiple interpretations. This episode is us thinking out loud, challenging each other, and engaging thoughtfully with complex ideas.
In this episode of A Court of Cortisol and Chaos, we’re joined by special guest Antoinette (@antoinettecealopesreads). We start with a lighthearted Kiss, Marry, Kill before moving into a deeper conversation about Eo from Red Rising.
We discuss Eo’s role in the narrative, her function as a symbolic catalyst, comparisons to a Lucretia figure, the concept of fridging, and how her death shapes Darrow and the broader story.
Our goal isn’t to arrive at one definitive interpretation, but to examine how these storytelling choices function and what questions they raise about narrative structure and character motivation.

February kicks off with a Galentines/Valentines-inspired episode—and yes, we start with a little controversy.
In this week’s episode of A Court of Cortisol and Chaos, we talk about overrated book boyfriends (respectfully… mostly), then move into romance-forward recommendations for every kind of February reader:
One Valentine’s Day read
One Galentines Day pick
One BIPOC / LGBTQ+ recommendation
We also get personal—sharing stories about our own relationships, how we met our significant others, and why romantasy as a genre matters so deeply to us.
