Consistency has to have come from a place of knowledge and awareness for it to remain and stick in the long term. If it's based on a good mood or our feeling alone it won't last because our feelings fluctuate. To add something to your regimen that you want to be consistent about try and batch it with something else you are already disciplined and consistent about.
