“The question is not whether we should bring God into our work or not. We certainly should and must. The question is whether we should simply (a.) Bring Him in in the dedication of our work to Him, in the integrity, diligence, and humility with which we do it or also (b.) Make His professed and explicit service our job.” - C.S. Lewis
But what’s often overlooked is the need to create in community with other believers. For those of us who choose to follow the call to create, we must surround ourselves with fellow Christian creators who can help “renew our minds” (Romans 12:2) with eternal perspective as we create.
- Jordan Raynor : C.S. Lewis and the Call to Create
Romans 12:6(a)
"Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly."
Exodus 36:1-2
“Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whom the Lord has put skill and intelligence to know how to do any work in the construction of the sanctuary shall work in accordance with all that the Lord has commanded.”
And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whose mind the Lord had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work."

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.

Ever wondered how aligning personal ambitions with God's will can transform your projects into meaningful endeavors? Join me as I recount a summer filled with unexpected turns, from a delightful anniversary trip with my husband to a mix of productive and procrastinated sewing projects. Despite my best efforts to stay on track, the whirlwind of daily life had other plans, yet it also offered valuable lessons and moments of reflection. Now that the school year is here, I'm ready to embrace the structure and focus on what lies ahead for the "Cosplay for Christ" podcast.
We'll explore the exciting plans for the new school year and how this podcast aims to serve its ministry goals. I candidly share my struggles with staying focused, highlighted by my husband's humorous suspicion that I might have ADHD. More importantly, we reflect on the importance of partnering with God in our daily pursuits, ensuring our work remains impactful and purpose-driven. With gratitude for the platform provided by God, this episode is a blend of personal stories, reflections on faith, and a look at what's next for "Cosplay for Christ.
Proverbs 19:21
Many plans are in a man’s heart,
But the counsel of the Lord will stand.
Proverbs 16:3
Commit your works to the Lord
And your plans will be established.

Psalm 139:2-5
"2 You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind.
3-4 You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.
5 You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me!"

This is the second part of the discussion Katie Lewis from Bountiful Living and I have about what we can learn about suffering from the book of Job and the Bible.
James1:2-4
2Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
John 16:33b
"In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Job 13:15
Though he slay me, I will hope in him;
yet I will argue my ways to his face

Jess welcomes her very good friend Katie Lewis from Bountiful Living to discuss the book of Job and how we as Christians can take truths from it to help us in our own suffering. We talk about what it would take to say, "no matter what happens to me, I will put my trust in the Lord."
Job 1:21
And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”

Welcome Back! Jess has been off for the last month recovering from sickness and con crunch! In this episode she talks about how people weaponize scripture, using condemnation to manipulate people to fit their agenda. She talks about the proper way Jesus shows us to talk with fellow believers when in sin, and to always use the model of patience, gentleness and love when correcting someone. She also talks about when we are falsely accused of things that are not true.
Condemnation leads to fear, shame and death
Conviction leads to repentance and life
Matthew 18:15-17
15 “If your brother or sister[b] sins,[c] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[d] 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

Day 6 of our Advent Reading plan from Paul David Tripp
https://www.7ible.com/en/reading-plans/9407
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Jesus Christ Is God’s Son
1 Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. 2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. 3 The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. 4 This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.
