I told yall Imma share my highs and my lows! This is what the journey to good success looks like for me. I hope yall enjoyed this season of couch convos and please give me feedback for future seasons!
I had to ask myself a serious question this past week, am I gone be able to keep going even though it's challenging? WITHOUT feeling bad for myself (or expecting others to feel bad for me) and without complaining?! The more I sat with the question, the more I began to realize the strength I need to keep pushing is already in me, I just have to use it. I feel like that's the case for all of us.
This one hit soo close to home for me because this is the encouragement I need on a daily to keep pushing towards my dreams. I feel like the world doesn't fully understand what that looks like to do what you're passionate about so they try to put you in this little box and the only person that knows what's in your heart is you and God!! If you're an artist, entrepreneur, creative, or anything close and you wanna go for your dreams and take control of your future like me.. well! At least you know you not on this journey alone. Thanks so much for watching, I love yall!!
As y'all know, I'm basically updating you as I'm on my journey to good success. This topic of sacrificing the "right now" thrill to build a better future is another one of those things that I'm learning along the way. It's sooo hard to say no to certain things but I know it'll pay off.
When you're bold enough to be open and share your struggles, I feel like that's where God can come in and restore and redeem you. Plus, when I'm on the other side of all this.. I don't ever want people to think I never struggled or had issues & adulting seems to be one of those issues LOL But I will overcome!! What part of your adulting journey has been the toughest? Where do you want to improve?
In this episode I unpack what it TRULY means for me to believe in myself, which is something that I'm still learning and practicing.
I give examples of what it felt like to doubt myself and how it affected me.
Thanks so much for listening!
I'm one of those people who has had a very unique upbringing! Throughout grade school (K-12), I went to 13 different schools. On top of that, I'm the oldest of 13. So with all these different experiences, and people looking up to me, I felt this pressure to be great. Nothing has held my attention more than fashion and entertainment. That's where my heart is, and story telling is my true passion. So come with me on this journey as I tell the stories of how I'm working towards becoming the BEST version of myself from the inside out, and hopefully you will be inspired to do the same. 1
This is my story with imposter syndrome, aka thoughts or feelings of inadequacy for whatever reason. If you're dealing with this, just remember God put you in position or gave you what He gave you for a reason. That's what I had to learn. And if he put you there, He'll make sure you have what you need to succeed. Take it from me 💙
