Time travel is possible when it comes to our brains. We can essentially go back in time with the use of visualization and provide what was lacking in that moment to our younger selves. Every single human can benefit from this quick and fun brain exercise. I walk you through how to do this with an example from when I was a kid and I accidently peed my pants. I also share one of the benefits of doing work like this, which for me is yelling at my kids a whole lot less. Buckle up as you learn how to travel back in time!

I hadn't planned on making this a podcast until last night as I was thinking about how we don't have a lot of ways to connect with each other around grief. We all come together for the funeral or memorial and then it's "over." Even though the experience of grief continues long after people have stopped coming by with the flowers and the casseroles. I needed a way to pause and think about my Dad as I approach the 1 year mark of his death. I wanted to invite others to join me to promote a sense of togetherness and connection - through grief. 

I'm going to light a candle in honor of my Dad at 6:50pm tomorrow (January 11th) and I'm inviting all of you to join me. You can honor someone that you have lost or support someone you know who is grieving by lighting a candle and letting them know that you were thinking of them.

Boundaries are a personal choice about what is ok and what is not ok. I learned that there were many pitfalls when I first began to implement boundaries. I was missing a big piece - the way I expressed my boundary was just as important as the boundary itself. You will be introduced to The Science of Stuck by Britt Frank (LSCSW) and another Coach that I know personally, the wonderful Rosie Yeung (CPA,CA,CHRL). Rosie did some role plays with me so we could demonstrate healthy boundaries versus no/ineffective boundaries. These are meant to show you how subtle boundary crossing/setting can be in everyday situations.
