Another discussions episode, this week we take a look at post secondary education. This topic is particularly interesting because between the three of us we have a variety of experiences, Jake in university, TJ in the trades and college and Aayush with a mix of university and college. We explore the pros and cons of the each route, not that we believe that one is better than the other just that everyone has their own path and we want to open a discussion.
Maia Lepingwell - Tardieu is a PhD candidate with small town roots. Growing up in Bracebridge Ontario, Maia has always had French as a part of her life. From the immersion program to class trips to France and an incredible multi-year move there to teach, it almost seems inevitable that she would end up studying French literature as she gets ever more ingrained in French culture. The passion she shows for her work is immediately clear in this in-depth dive into the life and stories of one of the most dedicated and hardworking individuals we have had the pleasure of having on the show.

UBI is financial concept in which every person of a given population regularly receives a legally stipulated and equal financial grant paid by the government. We take a look at the pros and cons of the concept and a look at a few countries and populations that have tried it already. Zach Louch was born in Hamilton and raised in Parry Sound, growing up Zach's life was always full of music. Vanessa was born and raised in Deep River, Ontario. She began performing in school and in community theatre productions from a young age and was encouraged to pursue her passion professionally. This led her to audition for the prestigious Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance program at Sheridan College. After graduating with High Honours and beginning her career, Vanessa is now an award winning actor, singer director and educator based out of Toronto, Canada.
