The Nearlies say what needs to be said. Ghosts, there are many on these ancient grounds, may be listening, but what they share is for one another. The spreading, well rubbing, of ashes due to a bit of a misunderstanding on Martin’s part, is a time honored and sacred tradition among many peoples, and in this instance has some unexpected results. Later they investigate a club house refuge for a girl with a wicked stepmother, an enchanted father, and a wayward mother. Then, the first course of what, judging by the nefarious guest list, is sure to be a significant funerary dinner.
