This song was inspired by Koenig's coined term AMORANSIA, which means: the melodramatic thrill of unrequited love, the longing to pine for someone you can never have, wallowing in devotion to a person who gives your life meaning through their absence. Is there a dark pleasure in that faithful craving? A little masochism, perhaps? I've made the man in my song more purposeful, though. He isn't helplessly wallowing but is waiting on purpose.

There is a kind of falling that can happen in a single glance 💕

Mon Cœur Chavire opens with six lines attributed to a letter by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, written to a woman he never names. He crosses paths with her and everything changes. Before her, the night was dark and the world was silent. Then she appears, and one word from her is enough to fill him 🫶

Spoken French over laid-back Afrobeat drums.

Chavirer is what a boat does when it goes over. Hearts do it too, and sometimes we would rather not be rescued.
