What Jesus accomplished on the cross worked! It did work and therein is our joy found. Our joy hinges on the efficiency of the work, and efficacy of what Jesus set out to accomplish for us. It is because it worked that we can go on rejoicing. 

Our joy does not start when we see our needs met. Our joy should not be hinged on the progress we are able to make in our various endeavors or journeys in life. It is because the price Jesus paid worked, that's why we can live the rest of our lives in joy. 

It worked! Had it not been for the fact that it worked, nothing else would have mattered. No amount of human acclaim or accomplishment would have any difference in changing the shape of the human condition, if the price Jesus paid did not work.
