As Christians, how do we parent our children in a way that reflects the holiness—the set-apartness—God has called us to? This episode is a recording of a session led by Jake from a Parenting Conference at Veritas Church in Iowa City in November 2024. In this session, Jake explains how we, as Christians, are called to embrace “different,” and that, in turn, we, as Christian parents, must also embrace countercultural parenting. God deeply cares about the family, and applying his truth to the family is what’s best for children. As parents understand that the family is a big deal, depend on God in their parenting, and practice parenting with the lights on, they show the world—and their children—that loving and honoring God is more important than anything else.
