Each month we've been taking your questions about the sections of the bible that we've been reading and then spending some time talking through some possible answers. This month it was 2 Chronicles, Zechariah, Nehemiah, Job and 1 Timothy. You can jump through to the questions at these points:
1. (1:09) Do these two verse contradict each other with God reasons for who should build the temple? 1 Chronicles 28:3 & 2 Chronicles 6:8-9
2. (6:25) In Zechariah 6:5-6 we read about the four different coloured horses. Three of them go out to the North, South and west. But there is no mention of what happens to the red horses. Where did they go?
3. (15:50) Zechariah 10:8 says that the Lord will "whistle" (NASB / KJV). Is this as we understand a whistle?
4. (19:44) Nehemiah 12:31-39
a) Why were there so many gates?
b) What was the tower of Hananel and the tower of the Hundred?
5. (27:46) Nehemiah 13:25 - Why did he pull out the men's hair?
6. (38:26) Is there significance in the numbers in the opening chapter of Job (7 sons, 7000 sheep, 3 daughters, 3000 camels, 500 yoke oxen, 500 donkeys)?
7. (48:44) Job was in the east, and we understand "east" to be not good and away from God. Was Job therefore good or bad?
8. (59:01) Can you explain 1 Timothy 2:15
9. (1:16:46) How do we "take hold of eternal life" as 1 Timothy 6:12 tells us?
10. (1:28:16) Group: What commandment must we keep without stain or reproach as 1 Timothy 6:14 tells us?
