Six-thousand pink pumpkins arrived overnight in a pop-up pumpkin patch at Baton Rouge General as part of the hospital’s breast cancer awareness campaign promoting annual mammograms for women 40 and over. This event hits close to home for me because my mother is a breast cancer survivor.
