Well well well, if it isn't another disappointing Ben Affleck performance. After being somehow bored by getting investigated for murder, Ben Affleck as Nick puts together the worst revenge tour known to man. Rosamund Pike is good tho. Why does this movie elicit only an 'eh, it's fine'? And most importantly, did James read this book?
We also ate some pumpkin cheesecake, which was DEVINE
In this classic film, Cher undergoes a classic 80s movie reveal - by taking off her glasses and letting down her hair, it turns out the accountant is hot! Who knew? Nicolas Cage teaches Cher that as long as you're in love, its actually pretty okay to be cheating on the guy your supposed to be getting married to. Cheating runs in the family as Cher's father is up to no good as well!
This legitimately funny movie deserves more attention as it holds up well today and made us actually laugh throughout.
We have a special surprise this week as we introduce a new team member to the Couples Movie Club corporate team!
We finally wrap up the Matrix trilogy with a bit of a surprise - we talk Matrix: Resurrections! Don't worry, we break it up into two parts so we won't spoil anything without warning.
First part is Matrix: Revolutions and the Matrix: Resurrections talk starts around the 40 minute mark.
Big spoiler season, we had Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss, but man is everything related to both of these movies terrible.
Next week we are watching an actually good movie with Moonstruck (1987)!
One thing's for sure in this week's episode - you're going to be playing accent bingo.
Italian? Mama mia, that's a check
English? Oye bruv, you best believe that's a check
Texas? We've got a saying in Texas, fool me once, alright, fool me twice...you can't get fooled again
We also talk about Hugh Grant absolutely crushing it in this movie, why get Matthew McConaughey or Charlie Hunnam if you aren't going to use them, and how Colin Farrell is an absolute lad.

This week, we discuss the untimely demise of the Matrix trilogy. Despite Warner Brothers going all in with video game and anime tie-ins to create a massive universe, it all cannot overcome a wildly poorly written discussion with the Architect. Watch how bad it is in the links below! Additionally, what were they thinking with the hard-cuts to terrible CGI? It isn't all bad though, with James believing this movie has the best action scene in all of cinema and some tasty shark jewelry.

Come and listen to our second musical movie, Chicago! Can Renee Zellweger really carry this movie all by herself? Hard to say, but it turns out she wasn't the first couple of choices for it. Would Catherine Zeta-Jones be a better fit? Hard to say, but we all know Richard Gere should not have been in this movie at all. What's the deal with the Mr. Cellophane song that goes on for 10 minutes? And why won't these women just stop murdering because of all that jazz!
Next week we continue our Matrix series by watching Matrix: Reloaded. We'll finish the trilogy priory to the fourth movie's release by watching Matrix: Revolutions in mid-December 2021.
Wild Wild West shares a lot of things with the JFK assassination- unclear motives, who caused it, and many questions years later. This is a terrible movie that is terrible. Where to start? Will Smith is asked to carry way too much of this movie and appears to legitimately dislike Kevin Kline. The writing appears to be for teenagers that are also super racist? Even at gunpoint, Liz could not name a single she liked about this movie, and disliked James' compliment even more.
We ate some brie sandwiches too, but that is completely lost in this southwestern sauce.
Today, we talk about James' favorite movie of all-time - Cloud Atlas. Just kidding! That's Liz's favorite movie and she won't stop talking about it! We pinpoint where Keanu Reeves career took a hit, why Joe Pantoliano is in this movie, and what casting disasters the original cast would have been. What is the lasting impact of those tiny sunglasses Laurence Fishburne wears? And can culture be defined in something as simple a little cellphone that has a button that pops out when you hit a button? Yes!
This is part of our series to get you ready for The Matrix: Resurrections, coming out in late December 2021. We will watch Matrix: Reloaded in early December 2021 and Matrix: Revolutions in mid-December 2021.
Devon Sawa is the man Jeremy Renner could never be
This episode has everything you've never wondered - What is Skyline chili? Where did Hocus Pocus $28 million dollar budget go to? Is it Bette Midler getting paid because it certainly isn't being given to the writers for writing children characters. Why is there so much focus on virgins in a kids movie? And why did Liz think this movie was for adults?
