When asked why most people get married, they might say it's because of love. Are we more interested in giving love, or do we love how the other person makes us feel?
If you don't love God, you can't love your spouse. The reason is that God is love.
At most, without God, you like someone. The problem with that is that it is based on emotion.
Often, we confuse love with like. Emotions are based on conditions that, if not met, can often lead to disappointment rather than a commitment to unconditional love.
It's not that you love chocolate cake; it's just that you like how it makes you feel when you eat it.
Love is a decision regardless of emotion. The act of love involves compassionately, righteously, and responsibly seeking the well-being of others.

What if you had someone who was specifically made to help you achieve your goals, dreams and your purpose? The good news is you might already be married to that person.
In this video, we'll be discussing how God gives us helpers who are fit for us. This great couple Bible study will help you understand each other better and grow closer to God.
Let's talk about it...
Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and the Bible has much to say about making it work.
Husbands and wives must be mindful of their spouses' needs and desires. In Genesis 2:18, we learn seven important lessons that can help improve our marriages.
Genesis 2:18 (NLT)
Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
Too often marriages reach the point of divorce not because of one explosive event but a slow dissolution that happens when couples aren’t intentional about connecting. That's why God said it is not good for man(kind) to be physically alone in this world.
Alone means existing apart from, or exclusive of, others.
We were created for community, and being alone goes against our nature.
God designed us to need others and to be in a community with others. When we're alone, we cannot experience the fullness of life God intends for us. We miss out on the joys and blessings of relationships.
We learn seven important tips for helping each other in our marriages in Genesis 2:18.
