Summary
In this conversation, join me in reflecting on the concept of courage. The Oxford Dictionary defines courage as "the ability to do something that frightens someone." The second definition it provides is "strength in the face of pain or grief." Merriam-Webster defines courage as a "mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty."
I would like to emphasize the importance of recognizing everyday acts of courage. I reflect on the relationship between fear and courage and share my own experiences of feeling insecure and shrinking myself. By understanding the concept of our “Shadows,” we can learn to accept and love all parts of ourselves which can help us overcome fear. I share the story of Mary, which taught me the importance of authenticity and being the friend others need. I conclude by discussing the practice of courage and the impact of curiosity and gratitude in daily life.
