At the very beginning of March, Women's Herstory Month, I was reminded about the importance of having a conversation with a courageous Black woman. I was reminded that taking the time to talk to a courageous Black woman, may change your life. Their stories, their risks, and their ability to unknowingly pour into you and charge the battery that is in your back, is so necessary and unmatched.

I decided to conduct a series of interviews with some of the courageous Black women in my life. I'm certain their stories are either relatable, or will be the sign you need to just do it. My first guest is Brittney -- an amazing Black woman who packed up her life in the middle of a pandemic and moved across the country to pursue more. Her journey to where she is today has definitely been molded by the paths she took along the way. She may not have ended where she thought she would, but she's happy, nonetheless and excited for what's to come.
