Mental health is at the forefront of many conversations and everyone seems to be searching for the best wellness plan on the market. At The Courageous & Kind Project, we believe the best way to fight the fear and worry is with Scripture, God’s holy and infallible Word. 

This podcast + "Take Back the Truth" Study Guide will walk you through an exercise of trading the lie you’ve been believing for God’s truth! It will help you to identify any lies and negative self-talk, then replace the lie with the truth, and follow it up with Scripture to confirm the truth.

Moriah Axtell is a wife and mother of three who has an incredible story of faith and redemption. She and her husband live in Missouri after many moves and several years of service with the Marine Corps.

This episode Moriah talks about a rebuilding and a renewal season of life for her family and marriage. She recalls when God gave her the strength to stay and bravely fight for her marriage when the world gave her permission to run. Throughout the interview, Moriah gives great practical advice about establishing boundaries to protect our marriages, ways to be intentional about weekly in-home date nights, and ways to promote transparent communication.

Meet Paula! Paula Webb is an incredibly gifted Bible teacher, ministry leader, speaker, and writer, who leads with her love for Jesus. She lives in Southern California, married her crush, cheers on her basketball boys, and loves being 'Grandma P' to two!

Meet Kristen! Kristen Young is a wife, a stay-at-home mom, blogger, and founder of the Cause Community. She and her family are in Conway, Arkansas, serving and loving those around her. 

Kristen talks about what she’s doing with the dreams, desires, and passions of her heart  that God is saying “not yet”  to as the Lord continues to remind her that He is preparing her in THIS season for all that’s next. He is teaching and training her in the here and right now of what feels like the mundane and ordinary rhythms of life. 

In the interview, she reminds women that there’s much work for God to do in our hearts within the quiet and while no one is looking, that prepare us for the time and opportunity when everyone is.  She says, “Doing the small, makes a big impact over time!”

Meet Angel! Angel Bentley is a now stay-at-home Mom and military spouse on the move. Last year she made a big move across the country from southern California to southern Georgia. This summer, she's moving again!

In this episode, Angel encourages women not to give their hearts away to the empty promises of this world. She defines a courageous and kind woman as one who trusts God even when she faces resistance.

Meet Casey! Casey is a California born and raised woman who embodies words like "rad" and "cool" as she lives out God's love.  She's a graduate of UC Davis, former college athlete, surfer, community and church volunteer, and craft brewer in San Diego.  

Casey talks about learning to love herself the way God loves her.  She wants to love (and like!) herself for who God has created her to be — not a perfect woman, but a women who bears the image of God.

Meet Marlena Copado! She's a musician, singer/song writer, and worship director in Southern California. Marlena is featured on the cover of the Spring 2019 C&K Magazine.  

In this interview, Marlena talks about her courageous moment to "thrive in the wilderness" in a season of life that seemed bare, mundane, and meaningless. She made a choice to  believe God would take care of her and provide for her needs. She challenges listeners with this statement, "When we're brought into the wilderness, it reveals what we really believe about God".

Meet Amber Bell! Amber is a southern girl from Hot Springs, Arkansas. She’s a wife, mother, and Payroll Manager for an accounting firm.  

Amber talks about her courageous moment in making the decision to end an unhealthy, codependent friendship. Her line, “Friends comes into our lives for a reason, season, or lifetime.” rings true as she looks to God for courage to move forward from a difficult season.
