Courting The Field

In this episode, Sean and Carl preview Super Bowl 55 with their favorite prop bets and their predictions for the winner of the game. They are later joined by Food, Fitness, and Lifestyle influencer, Cal Reynolds, who talks about his journey (13:40). He discusses what it's like to be a social media influencer and what his next steps are. Towards the end, he gives a passionate rant on his motivation tactics and why he works as hard as he does. 

In this episode, Sean and Carl discuss the Cavs 2OT win over the Nets and what the future looks like for both organizations. They are later joined by Broncos DL, Dre'Mont Jones, who talks about his career up to this point and his plans for the upcoming offseason.  They cover a plethora of topics from his thoughts on the Kansas City Chiefs to his Welcome to the NFL moment. He discusses his time at Ohio State and how that intense experience prepared him for the rigors of the NFL.  Towards the end, the guys all chip in on their thoughts of the Holy War (St. Edward v. St. Ignatius) and how that rivalry will stay with them forever.  

This episode, the guys talk about Xavier's season so far and the blockbuster NBA trade sending James Harden to the Nets. At the halfway mark, they are joined by Minnesota Vikings DB, Dylan Mabin who discusses his time in the NFL so far.  He talks about the transition from the FCS level (Fordham) to the NFL and the adjustments he's had to make. Also, he gives some insight into some of the experiences going against some of the top WR's in the NFL.

Sean and Carl are joined by the hosts of the legendary Pay 2 Play podcast, Frank Geib and James Zajaczkowski. The four of them give their thoughts on the college football conference championships this weekend followed by a quick recap of the college basketball season so far. They transition into the NFL as they discuss MNF game between the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens. At the end, they give their best bets and run through a 2-minute drill. 

Sean and Carl are joined by the Director of Operations at Can't Stop Training, Nick Kinzel. He discusses his involvement with the training program and his future aspirations within the sport. The trio debate what player they would have for the next five years. Also, they talk about the biggest winners and losers of the NBA offseason. At the end, they discuss the future of the Cleveland Cavaliers. 

This episode, the guys talk about Sean's transition into coaching and the differences between D3 and D1 basketball. They are joined by Notre Dame QB, Ian Book, who discusses the win over top ranked Clemson and the impact it has had on the team (13:20). He also talks about his thoughts on climbing  the all-time record books at ND. He also discusses his growth as a QB and where he has improved over the years. At the end, he plays "Rapid Fire". 

Sean and Carl give their thoughts on the NBA Finals up to this point. They are later joined by Andrew and David Dowell, who discuss their favorite childhood memories together as twins (10:00). Andrew, who plays LB for the New Orleans Saints, talks about the difficulties of playing football during a pandemic. David, talks about his journey to professional football and some of the things he's accomplishing along the way. Also, the two talk about where their competitive nature comes from. At the end, Sean, Carl, Andrew and David draft the best sports duos of all time!

Sean and Carl re-draft the star studded 2011 NBA Draft through the first 15 picks. They are later joined by Notre Dame safety, Shaun Crawford, who talks about his time playing at Notre Dame and what it means to him (30:15). He talks about how his time at St. Edward prepared him for the rigors of balancing academics and football at Notre Dame.  He discusses on the difficulties of playing college football during a pandemic. Also, he talks about the transition from cornerback to safety for the Fighting Irish. At the end in a new segment, Sean, Carl, and Shaun draft the best TV shows of all time!

Sean and Carl discuss Jayson Tatum and his rapid ascension into the NBA's elite tier. How many players would you comfortably take over Tatum for the next five years? They also discuss their takeaways from Week 1 of the NFL and what they are looking forward to. They are later joined by Austin Peay LB, Troy Henderson, Jr where the conversation took off (15:45). Troy discussed the unique circumstances of playing college football during the pandemic and how that affects his future. He also mentions how he wants to be viewed as "More Than an Athlete".
