ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP IS NOT SPECTATORSHIP
Tommy Speirs challenged us last time we gathered with this question, “Why
are you here?” I would ask that again this morning. Why are you here? Why
did you come this morning? You may say, “for worship.” How? For so many,
worship became a time of spectatorship… We come, we sit, we listen, some of
us sing, some of us pay attention to the message, and then we leave and we
may argue that giving our time and offering was our sacrifice for worship.
We really need to challenge ourselves biblically on what it means to
worship.
