  • For the rocks tell me so
We have a God who went out of his way to make a way to us, and for us. He chose to enter Jerusalem on an unridden colt, but why? He uses the colt to fulfill prophecy, to signal to us through rabbinic tradition that no one should use the animal that the king was to use—that he is indeed king. But he didn't come in as a warrior king with chariots and swords, but waving palm branches showing that the nature of his kingdom come is peace. Let us be a people that would join creation singing praise to the one who went out of his way to make a way for you and me, that we would be a sign that the Lord's glory endures forever.

  • For the Spirit tells me so
You have been chosen and adopted as a child of God, adopted into an intimate relationship with the Father. While our faith is rooted in information, it goes beyond that to a spiritual space where you can intimately connect with God and be fully known by him. He welcomes you as a father welcomes his children. We are more than flesh and bone, each of us is a soul. And, though the world tells us we are unworthy if we can come forward in vulnerability, in all our weakness, God's Holy Spirit will meet with your spirit and say to you, "you belong." I am yours and you are mine.

  • For worship tells me so
Why do we experience hunger? In the experience of hunger, we learn what it is to long for and yearn for something. We know what it means to be empty and then be filled. We are built dissatisfied constantly in search of something to fill us. But God's love eternally satisfies. The Psalmist tells us God's love is better than life. The most impressive and meaningful moments you can think of, God's love is better. And so we are invited, called to Jesus to worship him. We worship because God is love and because God's love is revealed through our worship.

  • For the Unexpected Tells Me So
Whenever we give our love away it grows, but when we give it to the wrong things it can consume us. Like the leper, our sin makes us feel unclean—morally and physically. We easily fall prey to Satan's lie, "you are alone and everyone else would be embarrassed to know you." But in Jesus, we find cleansing. He SEES us in our unclean state and still offers us his love. If you trust him, if you can be vulnerable and go without knowing, he will change your life.

  • "For my friends tell me so"
The paralyzed man's friends are so dedicated to bringing him to Jesus for healing that they literally tear open the roof to get him in front of Jesus. We all need a friend and need to be a friend that would bring others to Jesus. Who do you know in a time of need—physical or spiritual? Who around you is experiencing spiritual darkness and can use a friend to bring them to Jesus? He welcomes those who are hurting and those who have sinned. He does not regard them as unworthy, but heals them, forgives them, and calls them "friends." Who do you need to introduce to Jesus, for people know Jesus loves them when their friends tell them so.
