Covenant Church Douglas

Psalm 119 says the entrance of God’s Word gives light—so need to we as believers need to dust off the Bible and letting that light drive out fear, compromise, and confusion. From John 3 to Rahab’s faith, this message calls the Church to stand in love, speak truth, and carry revival into everyday life. If you’re ready to trade lukewarm for on-fire, this is for you. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back for His church soon! As believers, we should focus on being more mindful of eternity and winning more souls for the kingdom than gathering riches here on Earth that will soon fade.

Today Pastor Gregory opens 1 Corinthians 15:1–8 and calls us to stand up for Jesus, carry His presence into everyday life, and walk in the Spirit’s power. We’re not spectators in a building! We ARE the church, bought with an astronomical price and commissioned to shine as salt and light & be a city on a hill, bringing light to a world full of darkness!

In this teaching, we learn how the Bible comes alive through geography, history, language, and culture—what early church fathers called the “Fifth Gospel.” From Jeremiah’s vision of the almond tree to the parable of the Good Samaritan, we see how God’s Word reveals His promises with power and clarity. You’ll also hear personal stories of faith, resilience, and God’s protection from life in Israel today.

What are people “reading” when they examine your life? The Bible calls God’s Word a mirror that shows us who we really are—and transforms us into the image of Jesus. In this message, we explore how to find ourselves in Scripture, let the Word wash us, and live a legacy that points others to Christ. From 2 Corinthians 3:18 and James 1:22–25, we unpack how the Spirit changes us “from glory to glory” as we keep looking into the mirror of the Word—not just hearing it, but doing it. You’ll also be challenged to keep your Bible dust-free, trade offense for forgiveness, and renew your mind (Romans 12:2) so your life becomes a living letter of Christ.

In this message based on 2 Kings 5, we study the story of Naaman—a mighty warrior who almost missed his miracle because of pride. Instead of obeying God-given instructions, Naaman let his own expectations and dignity get in the way. It wasn’t until Naaman humbled himself and dipped in the Jordan that he was cleansed and restored. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Don’t let pride rob you of your healing, your freedom, or your breakthrough. Choose humility today and experience the abundant life Jesus promised!

In this powerful message, Pastors Gregory and Jackie share from Psalm 119 and other key scriptures about the urgency of returning to God’s Word as the lamp to our feet and the light for our path. In this message, Pastor Allison reminds us from passages in the Word of God that obedience is not tied to desired outcomes, it’s tied to our trust in the Lord! This message will encourage you to trust, obey, and keep going — even when the outcome isn’t what you expected. Be inspired to pray again, fight again, and obey again, no matter the outcome, because obedience honors God and transforms lives, even when we don't see it in the natural!
