We celebrated Earth Day this Sunday, April 23rd. The scripture reading this week was John 20:19-29.

This Sunday we walked through the last week of Jesus' life and prepared for our Good Friday/Tenebrae service, which occurs on Friday, April 14th at 7:30pm. In this episode you will hear Rev. Laura Mayo's proclamation, a duet of "Ave Verum" by Gabriel Faure, and a confession by member Jeannie Gambill.

This Sunday's scripture reading was John 11:1-45. Two musical pieces are included. The first is the Covenant Choir singing "Set me as a Seal" by Rene Clausen and the second is a beautiful duet of J. S. Bach's "Christe Eleison." The full recording of the scripture reading occurs at the end.

The scripture readings for this Sunday were: Isaiah 58:6-9 and Matthew 25:35-40. The proclamation is a deeply moving, personal story from Tim Okabayashi* about lives affected by the fear of immigrants - something not new to our country. ​*Tim's piece starts at the 20 second mark.

The scripture reading for this Sunday was Matthew 4:1-11. The choir sang “I Am a Poor Wayfaring Stranger” by Robert Norman. Soloist Casey Okabayashi performed Mozart.

The scripture lessons this morning were from Exodus 24:12-18 and Matthew 17:1-9.
