James commends Job's perseverance. Why?

Why did God's speech work to draw Job to repentance? What did he show Job about himself?

Job has acknowledged his logical error. He still needs to acknowledge his sin.

God wraps up his first speech and asks Job to respond. What has Job learned?

It's easy to look at the world and think we understand it. The Godness of God helps us understand how little we see.

There are some things God needs to help Job understand. Like, how he is God and Job is not.

Job argued with his friends, but they were wrong. He didn't respond to Elihu. What will he do when God speaks?

Will Job listen to God's prophet? Elihu isn't perfect (he's human!). But he's right.

God's prophet speaks God's voice to his people. Job's suffering has exposed some hidden sin.

Elihu takes God to task. No one attacks his God and gets away with it.
