God will deliver His servants from the cosmic judgments that are decreed because of sin. God will first distinguish His servants from His enemies on earth. God seals His servants for salvation- their number is certain and is now known only to God. These sealed servants will constitute a holy nation forever and ever. The rest of sinful mankind God leaves in their own willful rebellion and depravity to be destroyed along with the world.

Teaching- Jesus brings about God's Kingdom through His death on the cross.----Objection No. 1- God is barbaric in demanding the death of His Son for the sins of His people.--Objection No. 2- The Cross is a historical event that has no relation to the present.--Objection No. 3- I'm not a terrible person, so I don't need anyone to die for me.--Objection No. 4- I don't like the -dos and don'ts- of Christianity.--Objection No. 5- Christians think they are better than anyone else.--Objection No. 6- The Bible promises victory over sin, but I feel powerless against sin.

In this passage, we learn how God's people are to think about one another and pray for one another.

The opening of the Fifth Seal of God's Scroll reveals that during the Last Days of this age, God's servants will suffer martyrdom. These Christians will be persecuted and killed because of their persistent witness to God's gospel truth- they do not compromise nor abandon their hope in Jesus Christ. God receives the spirits of these righteous departed saints into His intermediate heaven, where they await the resurrection of their bodies on the Day of Judgment. Until then, these souls are comforted by the prospect that God will avenge their murderers, to the praise of His glorious justice. You are called to persevere patiently in your godly witness and to resist the world's seductions and allurements even to the point of martyrdom.

The Church and her members must live their lives on the mission that God has appointed, which is to bring heaven to earth through our prayers and propagation of the gospel.

Jesus gives a final demonstration of His love to the Twelve. In this demonstration, we see that He commands us not to strive for honor, privileges, or possessions, but to humble ourselves before the Lord and seek to be the servant of all.

Pilgrims to Zion will encounter many obstacles and hardships in their journey. They may even fall into grievous trials because of sin. In such times, you must cry out to the Lord in fervent prayer. You must learn to wait patiently on the Lord. He will answer in His time and manner, as He deems best. And you must never lose hope-you must learn to hope and you must learn to encourage other believers to hope. You will do this because you know Jehovah's help in this life, together with all of His benefits to you who trust Him.

There is no confusion in heaven as to who is worshipped- all are agreed. All of heaven affirms the worthiness of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Divine Sovereign over all. The Lamb of God is worshipped in heaven. Besides this, all of creation will one day confess the sovereignty of God and the Lamb over all things. John's second vision speaks of the inauguration of the Lord Jesus to the throne of God, as He alone is worthy. The inauguration precedes the opening of the scroll and the concluding of the present age.
