The Pharisees are still looking for a way to trap Jesus, so they come to him with a hard question on the covenant relationship of marriage and the issue of divorce. In this passage, Jesus has impressed on the listener his high view of marriage as a relationship God esteems and how a hard heart can destroy the good God intended.
