In this broadcast, we see the completion of the work and a genealogical listing of all those who made the return from Babylon back to Jerusalem after the captivity, providing some important details especially concerning the genealogy of Jesus recorded in the New Testament.

Here, we see Nehemiah has to deal with opposition to his wall rebuilding project from enemies, including a conspiracy against him in this work, as well as how he overcomes their distractions and completes the project.  One of my favorite verses is found in Neh. 6:3 and helps us to overcome distractions by remembering its message.

Here we see the motivation and favor of God upon Nehemiah's return to his beloved Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity, along with his work of rebuilding the wall in its beginning stages.

This lesson shows us the first part of how Jesus fulfilled the Feast of Firstfruits as given in the Torah. See the power and impact of His resurrection in a new light.

Today we discover the people who returned to Jerusalem with Ezra and some of the restoration and wrong issues that Ezra had to deal with and correct.

Ezra records how opposition arose to hinder the rebuilding of the Temple, resulting in a delay until Haggai and Zechariah were sent by God to encourage them in the work.  Zerubbabel's Temple was then  completed and dedicated, and the people celebrated the Passover. We also see details about when Ezra actually came and became a part of this restoration project in Jerusalem.

Today, we begin reading the historical books that record Israel's history after the Babylonian cativity has ended and they return to Jerusalem under Cyrus' decree.  Ezra reccords for us the decree of Cyrus that supplied the freedom for them to return with favor, as well as the genealogical record of those who returned, and the restoration of worship as the Temple is now being rebuilt.

Here we see Josiah keep the Passover of the Lord, but fall victim in battle and die. We also see the decline and fall of Jerusalem, resulting in the Babylonian captivity and fall of Jerusalem and the Temple.

This episode shows us the boastful threat from Sennacherib, Hezekiah's response, and the word from the Lord through Isaiah, as well as the reign of Manasseh , Hezekiah's son, and Josaih, Hezekiah's grandson.  We begin to also see the reforms and revival that Josiah begins to bring.

Continuing through the kings, we now come to the reign of one of Judah's great kings, Hezekiah, and the great revival he brought to Judah.
