It’s the season finale of Card Wars as Paul and Caleb are back from a wild weekend at The National in Chicago. The guys run down the entire weekend from selling, to strategy and how they had to adapt on the fly.
Paul discusses lessons learned on LeBron cards and how fans were looking for high end stuff especially for star players. Plus, Caleb and Paul talk about the last-minute twist of each adding one card each to their competition that really paid off- as Paul won a Ja Morant Kaboom card in a poker game and Paul flips a Clayton Kershaw he bought for $5 ten years ago. Paul is recognized by a huge Marlins fan and the guys talk about dealing with everyone from big spenders to kids with cash. Plus, celebrity sightings from Steve Aoki buying high end Ohtani cards, former Yankees’ pitcher Phil Hughes was buying and selling, plus, a new grading company from Jay-Z.
Finally, it’s the moment of truth as Cousin Sal joins the show and the first ever winner of Card Wars is announced and the final totals are revealed. Paul and Caleb began with $10k each of Cousin Sal’s money- were they able to turn a profit?
