Broke, Fat & Tired

Covid 2 Boogaloo

Listen Later

Everyone hates when Teresa sings, Alison hates doing the laundry, and everyone hates the pandemic.  Today we’re taking a different approach as we head into another pandemic winter.  We’re talking about the “silver linings” that we’ve learned and gained to keep in mind the positive changes the pandemic has brought.

Things like learning how to wash your hands properly and stop the spread of disease, the public benefits of delaying loan debt, and giving a child tax credit advance.  We’ve learned how to bake bread, start new family traditions to stay inside like wearing matching pajamas and putting up a LOT of decorations, and figured out how to stay home.

In a state of a lot of anxiety and change, people are resilient.

Memorable Quote:

“I’ve figured this out by now, but I would have hated your guts in high school”

“Reorienting your world around an illness is really hard to do”

“So that’s not going to happen...pray for me.”

“Last year, when we were trying to figure out what to do with Covid - it took forever to adapt.  This year, we’re more flexible and know how to communicate.”

“We’re entering topsy-turvy land...again.”

“What are some of the things we learned last year that helped us cope?”
