MARCH 18, 2020. Today we speak with Bob. He’s a 66 year old lawyer who graduated from Yale Law School. He’s also a playwright and a professor of English. Recently, he relocated from his home in the New York City area to his country house in upstate New York. Bob tells us about how the 9/11 disaster compromised the lungs of many New Yorkers, himself included, and despite his best efforts, working with members of congress to sue the government--they could never get the government to test how far the dangerous debris had spread, which would have enabled the cleanup of neighborhoods containing the corrosive alkaline dust.. And now, there are untold numbers of people walking around with compromised lung function--at a time when this pandemic attacks the lungs.
