This season on Covid is Stoopid, we thought it would be interesting to set out an extra microphone and get some fresh perspective.  And so we did.  Welcome to the third of our interview series in which Mateo will be asking a few friends who have been a tangible part of his recovery about their memories of his experience with Long Covid by way of three core questions:

1. How did you find out I was sick?

2. What can you tell me about some of those first times you saw me?

For all the ways that COVID has disrupted day to day life, many of those disruptions have simply become the new normal for the Long Haulers.  Doctor’s appointments, meds, when to wake up, when to make sure to go to bed. But with those checkpoints along the day that the mind must remember to hit is the schedule that the body has chosen to keep to.

As the world heads into March 2026, there is certainly plenty to think about; both locally and globally.  And yet, on top of that, Long Haulers are still left facing the daily struggle that is the next appointment.  The next chore.  The next breath.  For many Long Haulers, March of 2021 started to show signs that this wasn’t going to be just another week in bed or another flu.  So let’s listen as Mateo shares with us some of what revealed itself in March, 2021.
