Pastor Jennifer Holz continues our summer sermon series, "What If?", this week. The question "What If?" invites our minds to open up and stretch out. It's a question that knocks in the door of our imaginations to consider a world where God is always at work but maybe not quite how we might think. To ask, "What If?" cultivates a mindset of curiosity. And maybe most importantly, it's a question that can help us get a new perspective. This summer, we are joining the characters in the Bible who asked this question and discovered that the one who asks receives, the one who seeks finds; the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What if God wants to help us get a new perspective this summer?
Week 2 Practice: Pray the Lord's Prayer this week (Matthew 6:9-13) slowly.
- How might your daily plans, words, and thoughtschange if God's will is your top priority (6:10)?
- Who is one person you currently need to extend forgiveness to in order to align with this prayer (6:12)? Ask the Lord to help you forgive.
