Today we had the privilege of having a very special guest on the podcast.  Manpreet Kaur is running for election to the Bakersfield City Council to represent Ward 7 in Bakersfield California. Manpreet was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA together we all attended Ridgeview High School in Bakersfield, CA. We talk about the importance of culture, representation, education, and being able to inspire and help the future generation.  Although Manpreet's journey as City Council Member has brought so many people together she has faced some slight adversity that she has been able to overcome to hopefully be able to soon represent Ward 7 in Bakersfield, CA. Manpreet also discussed what the future of Ward 7 looks like and the changes she hopes to initiate to better serve her community.

Dion is a Bay Area native who ended up moving down to Bakersfield, CA to go to CSUB to complete his college career. From there Dion has been able to connect with a lot of different individuals. Apart from building a network he has decided to take his destiny into his own hands by diving into the world of entrepreneurship by doing real estate and credit. Dion gives us real-life examples of what is to start a completely new journey from zero, even with all his struggles he is still constantly pursuing his goals and doing what it takes to make them come true.
