Over the past week, we have witnessed a form of revolution here in the U.S. and a call for legislative reform from allies around the world, in regards to black lives. The last episode, we voiced our grievances against a system that has oppressed our people but, this week, we discuss how we as people can come together and move forward. Featuring: @patchwork85, @slywayphee_ and @ace_alpha2.
Honestly, we are TIRED of having these conversations about why black lives matter. For years, we have witnessed the lack of grace when it comes to black lives and as we are seeing, so is this country. For the past week and a half, we have witnessed and observed the brutality of police officers when it comes to black lives. In this episode, we discuss our feelings, how did the nation get to this point and overall what needs to happen in terms of police reform. This a lengthy conversation but, it was important for everyone to express our feelings and come from it ready to be part of the change. Featuring: @patchwork85, @slywayphee_ and ace_alpha2.
With various disparities plaguing the black community at the moment, this conversation creates the space to discuss how important it is to support your friends. The more we come together as a community, the more that we can achieve and use our collective resources to build a future for the next generation, where they are not scrutinized or traumatized for the color of their skin. Featuring: @patchwork_85, @slywayphee_ and @ace_alpha2.
It feels like our lives have become consumed with Coronavirus and what it means for us as a society going forward. The cast has a conversation on what the future holds and what exactly the 'new normal' may look like. Featuring: @pathcwork85, @slywayphee_ and @acealpha_2.
Within the last week of so, rapper, Boosie Badazz, has come under scrutiny for having his underage son and nephews engage in a sexual act, in order to ensure that they are not into the same sex. Interestingly enough, the rapper himself brought this information to the public via Instagram ( if you're curious, go look it up). It definitely created an interesting dialogue within the black community between pedophilia vs. homophobia. Of course, the cast discusses this and it gets interesting. Featuring: @patchwork85, @slywayphee_ and @acealpha_2.
*Everyone owns their specific views on this matter*
With this week's episode, the conversation delves into public disrespect vs. public apology. If someone offends you publicly should they apologize in the same manner? The topic stems from Matt Barnes apologize to his ex and we definitely added our #Crayon.vs.Culture flavor to it. Featuring: @pathwork85, @acealpha_2 and our guest, Dereck.
After the NFL draft and some of the controversy that came with it, along with the commentary by former NBA player, Stephen Jackson, the cast discusses interracial dating, which lead to the conversation about pre-nups. It is definitely a dope, inciteful conversation that takes place. Featuring: @patchwork85,@ace_alpha2 and Dereck (No IG).
Crazy title, right? This week's conversation is based on the idea that men feel that they have to have it together, in order to commit fully. This episode definitely takes some twists and turns but, definitely an authentic piece about the state of dating/committing in 2020. Featuring: @patchwork85, @slywayphee_, @ace_alpha2, with guest @iamearthangel.
Last week, many people received a #StimulusCheck from the government and it definitely created a space for different conversations on social media. Here at the podcast, we tried to rationale what this means for the masses, leading to a dope conversation! Featuring: @patchwork85, @slywayphee_,@ace_alpha2 and guest, @iamearthangel.
This week the cast discusses a conversation, where a female had an issue with her man working a regular 9 to 5. Honestly, how is this even a thing or an issue? We as a community need to reevaluate our priorities and decide what matters. The episodes features: @patchwork85, @slywayphee_ and @ace_alpha2
