You can stumble into your thoughts and accept them all as truth. Or you can choose the thoughts you land on, and clear the weeds that lie. Think about what you're thinking. Your day moves very quickly. It's like a Nascar race on your own streets, in your own vehicle, with your own family. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? What you think about is solidified by the words you use, good or bad. How you craft your sentences and connect your paragraphs, you begin to write the script for your day. It may not seem like a big deal, but the words we use on a daily basis have a huge impact on our actions, beliefs, and, ultimately, our outcomes. But it's not just about positive and negative language. The way we craft our sentences and connect our paragraphs also has an impact on our day. Think about how you feel when you read a well-written article or a powerful speech or listen to a great podcast. The words and structure evoke emotions and ideas that can inspire change and action. Just as you season food to enhance the flavor so you can enjoy the robust goodness of the entree, salty, savory, sweet, and spicy; that's where you arouse your tastebuds. Joy is a great alarm clock. It can help you start your day off on the right foot. Our daughter had her white coat ceremony this past weekend. What a celebration! The family was all in town, including our grandson.  On Sunday, we decided to go to the town square for the annual fair. When we returned home after about 3 hours, he was ready for a nap. So down he went. 3 hours later, he woke up. Mom when to go get him, and all I could hear was his fussing. How could he be so fussy after having such a great nap? So, of course, Grandma went up there to check on all the commotion. Mom spelled to me how he got up on the wrong side of the bed. No matter what she said, he was crabby. After our incognito spelling bee, I asked him how if he slept well. And he proudly responded with a smile, "Yes, slept well." From that point on, it was a changed little boy. He was happy and ready to go do anything and everything with a smile. Now, you and I both know he was challenging his mom. But Grandma comes into the picture, and life isn't so bad. So he chose to be happy instead of crabby. Joy is a great alarm clock. When you choose to wake up with Joy, you're making a conscious decision to start your day with joy. Just because you "feel" crabby and that's grabbing your attention the most, so you can get the attention; it doesn't mean you ARE crabby. All it means is that it's screaming the loudest so you don't have to work at how you want to "feel". When you rise, you set the tone for the rest of your day. Put yourself in a mindset that is open to positivity and possibility. That in itself can have a huge impact on how you interact with the world and how you impact the world you touch.

Think about it: if you wake up feeling grumpy and negative, you're more likely to snap at your coworkers or family members, to rush through your tasks without really engaging with them, and to make decisions that might not be in your best interest. But if you wake up feeling joyful and centered, you're more likely to greet the people around you with kindness and compassion, to approach your work with focus and creativity, and to make choices that align with your values. And remember, joy is not dependent on your circumstances, situations, or season of life. Joy does not come from what is thrown at you. Joy comes from whose you are.

Choosing to wake up with Joy and in joy is more than just choosing a specific alarm clock. It's choosing to take control of your day, to set your intentions, and to create a positive ripple effect that can touch everyone around you. So the question is, how will you choose to rise?

Temptation is something every human being faces in their day-to-day life. Regardless of what might lead you astray, every temptation is an invitation to depend on God. "Blessed is the one who endures temptation because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." - James 1:12 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? While temptation can be seen as a negative force in your life, it can also be an invitation to grow in faith and character.

Every time you are presented with a temptation, you have the opportunity to grow stronger spiritually by relying on God's strength and grace to overcome it. As a believer, a Christian, you are not promised an easy life free of temptation and trials. However, you can take comfort in knowing that your struggles are not in vain. In fact, when you endure temptation and stand the test, you are promised a crown of life by the Lord. The trials you face today are, but a small price to pay, for the eternal reward and blessings that await you.

Don't fear temptation. Instead, see it as an invitation to grow stronger in your faith and character. Each time you overcome temptation, you become better equipped to handle future challenges with confidence. So embrace every temptation with faith in God's strength and grace, for it is through Him that we can overcome all things.
