This week on the NursePreneurs Podcast, we are joined by Michala Gibson, RN and the founder of Prairie Elder Care.
With over three decades of experience in senior care, Michala’s journey began as a CNA, and she has since made a lasting impact in the world of dementia care.
In 2014, Michala and her sister-in-law took a leap and opened Prairie Elder Care, a facility dedicated to providing quality care for seniors with dementia. But their vision didn’t stop there.
In 2018, they expanded their services to include a homestead dementia care facility and farm, creating a tranquil, village-like setting where seniors receive round-the-clock care in an environment designed for peace and purpose.
At the heart of Prairie Elder Care is an engagement model centered on control, connection, and community, which guides their approach to senior care.
Michala and her partner aim to continue growing their business and raising awareness about dementia care while also expanding their educational initiatives.
