Creating Space: Putting the Phone Down

Listen Later

In this episode, I’m sharing how intentionally creating space in my evenings and mornings has helped me refocus my energy throughout the day. By putting my phone down at night and resisting the urge to reach for it first thing in the morning, I noticed how much mental noise I had been carrying without realizing it.

I talk about using my iPad as a supportive tool for meditation — with all messaging apps and email disabled — and how this simple boundary has allowed me to begin and end my days with more presence and calm. As a result, my energy feels more grounded, my focus clearer, and my days more intentional.

This shift showed up in real, tangible ways: I was able to record a yoga demo I had been putting off and even meal prep for the week — not from pressure, but from a place of steady, centered energy.

This episode is a gentle reminder that creating space isn’t about restriction or perfection. It’s about protecting your energy so you can show up fully for what matters most.
