On today’s episode we discuss “Four Reasons Developers are Unproductive,” an article by David Bryant Copeland. We speak to how the word “incompetence” is used in the software development industry. We also dive into “floundering,” or how long you do not know what you don’t know. We share our thoughts on the growth mindset and how company culture can affect it. Is your team comfortable admitting they don’t know and asking for help? Lastly, we address the outside-in vs. inside-out approach to software development.

"Are they comfortably incompetent? In other words, do they even know that they're incompetent, are they aware of the absence of information and knowledge” - Jason Harrison, Senior Software Developer at Zeal
