Creative Energy
John Rakestraw's book is written in the spirit of motivating us to write, to tell our story, and to let our creative juices flow. The book was an easy ready. John's inspirational words encourage me to go beyond writing my nonfiction story about my life but to look inside myself and see what else lies beneath the surface. There may be another book inside me after all. Thank you John.
John has also included a snippet from a book he and his wife have co-authored, "Titanic Deception". From what he shared in this book, I am adding it to my wish list.
Boost your self-esteem
This is a short read...it took me perhaps twenty minutes to get through and if I have any complaint at all about this short book, it's that it's too short. It's non-fiction and all about inspiration. It does a great job. I loved the little gems of wisdom and enjoyed the light-hearted way they were delivered.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Mr. John Rakestraw.
I highly (very highly) recommend this book to all writers. Invest twenty minutes - it's well worth your effort.
Ok
This told me more about the author, and what inspired him, than containing anything uncommon or original, that would inspire me. However it was nice to know how passionate he is about needing to write and that he is hoping to help potential writers get the confidence to make the leap and get started. I found the most interesting thing was that the first novel he ever read as a kid was Uncle Tom's Cabin, which seemed an unusual starting point for a child who had access to a library.
Helpful
as a writer, I found most of this e-book both funny and helpful in keeping up the creative works. Writing can be a lonely job because you spend far more time in your own head than you do with those around you. This helped me realize that I'm not the only one that spends more time with my computer than my partner! Thanks for the up lift.
Encouraging read for any writer
Creative Energy is a great read for any writer seeking a little encouragement and a giggle or two. My favourite line likened writers to the genie in Aladdin. One part aha moment, one part laughing tea out my nose. Highly recommend Creative Energy for not only writers, but anyone struggling with their creativity.
