Today I'm joined by drummer Rex Larkman of Tropidelic.
Bio: The Cleveland-based collective have built a sound that refuses to stay confined to one genre. What sets Tropidelic apart is their ability to seamlessly fuse laid-back island vibes with raw rock energy and deeply personal songwriting, creating music that feels equally at home at a festival singalong or blasting through car speakers at full volume.
Their newest album is out now. Check the link for more info, including the current tour.

I had a blast getting to know musician and Children's music superstar, Laurie Berkner. With more than 1.7 billion total streams, an average of more than 22 million monthly streams, more than 595 million YouTube channel views, and millions of CDs and DVDs sold, Laurie’s songs are beloved by families worldwide, including household staples like “We Are The Dinosaurs,” “Victor Vito,” and “Pig On Her Head.” People magazine called Laurie “the queen of kids’ music,” and the Los Angeles Times wrote, “Laurie Berkner does what Fred Rogers did: respect, validate, and reassure young children.”
Her latest album, Walking with Penguins is out now! Follow the link below to learn more, including purchasing her new album, or booking a ticket to her show!

In the spirit of Paul Kalanithi’s When Breath Becomes Air and Joan Didion’s The Year of Magical Thinking comes Carrying the Tiger: Living with Cancer, Dying with Grace, Finding Joy While Grieving by Tony Stewart, a powerful story of love, loss, and recovery.
When Stewart’s wife, Lynn, receives a sudden and devastating diagnosis, their scramble begins to find effective treatment, navigate life-threatening setbacks, learn to live fully in the shadow of death, and, ultimately, to share the intimate grace of her final departure from this world. After Lynn’s death, with the help of friends old and new, Tony slowly climbs out of his shattering grief and, surprisingly, eases toward new love.
There is uncertainty, fear, and sorrow in his journey, but also tenderness and joy, along with a renewed perspective on what it means to live and love with one’s whole heart. Adapted from more than a decade of posts on CaringBridge.org that chronicled Tony’s odyssey, both at Lynn’s side and afterward, Carrying the Tiger is an honest, passionate, life-affirming tale about the full circle of life and death, one that offers a deeply intimate look at grief and its hopeful aftermath

Incredibly grateful to sit down with actor and contortionist Samantha Rodes for this compelling and insightful interview.
Samantha Rodes is a versatile actor with extensive experience in creature and prosthetic performance, contortion, yoga, and motion capture. She has worked alongside many acclaimed artists, both under layers of prosthetics and suited up for motion capture, including Academy Award-winning director Guillermo Del Toro in Nightmare Alley and visionary director Zack Snyder in Rebel Moon.
Beyond the screen, she can be seen swimming, modeling, child stunt doubling, and writing , even having been a ghost writer in the health and fitness industry. With her passion and commitment, she is willing to go the extra mile, from shaving her head to changing her appearance altogether. A true monster-lover at heart, she takes inspiration from iconic performers like Lon Chaney and animals both real and imagined.
